At Millhaven, you can "do your own thing" or join in group activities.
We have a drill team that meets every other week, weather permitting. The team walks/trots in formation to music. It's
very low-pressure and strictly for fun! Everyone is welcome and no experience is needed.
Occasionally, we have clinics, which have included Rick Pelicano's "bombproofing your horse," an introduction
to natural horsemanship by trainer Ann Zinsser and an introduction to vaulting by the Great Falls Vaulting team.
In the fall of 2007, we had another games day featuring a trail class; photos from the event, taken by Stewart Sutton,
appear on this page. In June of 2007, we had a barn party featuring Brian Dorothy's bluegrass band, lots of food and merriment.
A bit and bitting clinic will be provided by trainer Ann Zinsser in the spring of 2008.
In warm months, boarders who enjoy socializing often gather at our tikki hut for refreshments and to enjoy the view of
horses in the pasture.
For information on trainers and riding instruction available to boarders at Millhaven, see our "Instruction"
page.
