Lessons and Instructors
Lessons at Millhaven are available ONLY to those boarding or leasing a horse at our farm.
We are not a schooling barn and have no lesson horses or lesson program. We have several independent trainers who provide private instruction in dressage, hunter/jumper, eventing and
basic Western riding and we periodically have clinics. Private lessons, however, do not get
priority and all boarders have equal access to the riding arenas.
See below for a short bio on instructors who teach at Millhaven.
Additional independent trainers are welcome, but must have their own liability insurance and
must provide us with a Certificate of Liability Insurance (Acord Form 25) with Millhaven Horse
Farm listed as a certificate holder. Insurance agents are familiar with this form.

BOB CIRI teaches English and Western riders how to communicate with their horses to achieve their goals. He uses natural horsemanship methods and designs each training program to fit each horse’s personality and physical ability. He starts young horses, instructs in the fundamentals of classical dressage, resolves behavior problems, teaches trailer loading and prepares horses and riders for safe and confident trail riding. Bob is also experienced working with riders who need to rebuild their confidence.

SUZY FLOYD is a trainer, instructor, clinician and an avid student and practitioner of natural horsemanship. She is a USDF medalist and USDF "L" Judge, graduating in the "L" program with distinction. Suzy was an apprentice to three dressage olympians and spent 1.5 years as an apprentice with the higheset ranking German Reitlehrer.
Suzy gives clinics at Millhaven as well as private lessons.

Instruction in dressage at Millhaven is also available from CAROLYN DEL GROSSO, a bronze, silver and gold USDF medalist.
